The anatomy section begins on July 5th, 2023 at 1 PM in the Otolaryngology Alumni Conference room, 21271 PFP, 2nd floor Pomerantz Pavilion. Scrubs will be provided but it is recommended that you bring appropriate, closed shoes for the lab. You may also want to bring a sweater or sweatshirt for the lecture room and a long sleeve t-shirt for the lab if you are inclined to get chilled.

Two weeks of dedicated head and neck cadaver dissection presents a rare opportunity to refresh the finer points of the head and neck anatomy before plunging into clinical scenarios. The scope of this course makes it appealing not only to otolaryngology residents but also to physician assistants and registered nurse practitioners.  Other specialties benefiting from the anatomy segment are oral surgery, endodontic, periodontic and dermatology.

Following the anatomy component the three week lecture series covers otolaryngology and related topics given by University of Iowa faculty. The breadth and depth of topics covered during the five weeks in Iowa is quite unique.
